Granada airport is located in the district of Vega del Genil. Its official name is Aeropuerto Federico García Lorca Granada - Jaén. This is an airport of moderate size, with a single runway of 2.900 and 45 meters wide, and
three boarding gates. It is located in the municipality of Chauchina, right next to Santa Fe, just 17 kilometers from the city of Granada, and about 100 kilometers south of Jaén. To get to downtown, there is a regular bus line linking the city daily with its airport, or by taxi. The average cost is about 21 euros.
